[based on my experience]

Do the past paper

This is extremely important, getting used to the concept of the CIE, Edexcel,... papers would benefit students like us a lot. There are plenty of past papers resources available online that you can download and practice doing them.

I personally prefer to print the past papers and do 1-2 past papers per week, you can also watch the YouTube videos that guide you through these past papers

Use your notebooks as revision materials

Many students even me have written non-sense/unnecessary info in our notebooks during class which is something that you should stop doing. Instead of spending most of your free-time rewriting all the notes, you can actually write down notes in our notebooks which would allow more free time to be spent on other plans.

I would recommend The Cornell Method - this is a way of writing down notes that is really effective.

Study with friends

I feel like many people find it difficult to study alone and they tend to procrastinate a lot.

Maybe you should find yourself a study group as when it comes to tests and exams we often missed out on some information and by having a group of friends to study together we can test each other knowledge and somehow gain knowledge from each other.

Having a study group also helps us to concentrate more as it's more "competitive" as we are constantly seeing our friends achieve good grades and so it boosts our "competitive spirit".

Don't study in bed

I know that many of us love lying down on our bed and studying at the same time, it could be effective for some people however I don't recommend doing it. Having a sensible study area would affect your concentration and productivity. Beds are where we sleep which the softness and comforts of beds would make you feel sleepy as your brain identifies and recognizes the bed as where you go to sleep.

Take breaks

You don't need to force yourself into a "3 hours long" self-study period, you should take breaks in between your study, maybe a 10 or 15 minutes break - this helps you with your wellbeing and productivity.

Your brain needs time to relax and to let all the information you just study "sink in" if not then it will be very overwhelming and your brain couldn't process all information at a time.

Stay positive and hard-working buddies! I'm sure that you will succeed one day!
