  • State that you will evaluate this topic: “ I will evaluate my viewpoint of this statement about if democratic leadership style is more likely to be successful than autocratic style”

Body 1 - Democratic
  • State the advantages of democratic style such as improve communication, more ideas and viewpoint is considered for the decision-making process, teamwork and build a better connection between members in the business

  • Analysis of how those things are helpful - such as improve communication -> ideas are shared and the decision made is effective -> a good and active working environment -> low labor turnover rate -> help to maintain the business reputation

  • Remember to use application, take information in the given case of the business which is a hospital, you could mention things like when there is a challenging surgery, democratic leadership style allows more methods and ways of solving the surgery which could lead to the quicker and more effective decision-making process

  • Then state the disadvantages such as too many ideas could lead to conflicts and a slower decision-making process which could lead to customer dissatisfaction which will affect the hospital's reputation and might result in losing potential and existing customers to their competitors which will lower the sales revenue, profit and market share.

  • State the advantages of autocratic style such as quick decision making, handling crisis situations quickly, reducing employees stress,…

  • Analysis of how those things are helpful: reduce the “doctors” stress as less decision they have to make by themself -> job satisfaction ->doctor is more productive as they have the instructions to do and the responsibility they hold is less

  • Analysis of how those things are helpful: fast decision making during crisis situation -> the manager is the one delegate all the works -> no meeting occurs so less time-consuming -> customer satisfaction -> better reputation

  • Remember to use application, you could replace the word “employee” with doctors/nurses, which is also an application from the case given

  • Then state the disadvantages such as one-way communication, lack of recognition as employees don’t have the opportunity to offer ideas, employees could be unhappy about the changes or decisions made.
